The Someone Cares Soup Kitchen was created to help the dire need for underprivileged people to receive hot meals within Orange County. Since 1986, the Soup Kitchen has served hot meals to the local low-income, homeless, and physically impaired adults and children, each and every day.
Ralph Adamo has contributed financial aid and physical support in the kitchen for over ten years, preparing meals and feeding hungry mouths – something that Ralph reflects on with a great deal of emotion and pride. To be able to offer something as simple but vital as a nourishing meal is humbling. Working alongside the volunteers in the Soup Kitchen and engaging with the homeless people, gives a stark reminder of the challenges people with extreme hardships face as part of their daily life.
Due to funding and understaffing, Someone Cares Soup Kitchen relies heavily on the community’s generosity and kindness. With a large homeless population in Costa Mesa, the support Ralph has continued to offer year after year has made a dramatic positive impact on what the Soup Kitchen can provide.
